Experience shows that no single health system can address all health problems. The Transdisciplinary Approach (TDA) recognizes that all healing systems play complementary roles in managing human health. To provide truly holistic care, we must move beyond disciplinary boundaries and encourage collaboration among all healthcare systems, acknowledging each other’s contributions to promote sustainable health.
About Pal Groups Of Institutions
The Pal Families of Haldwani have been key contributors to Kumaun’s development for over three decades. Guided by Late Sri Ramesh Pal, they established Pal Clinic in 2007, which led to the founding of Brij Lal Hospital & Research Centre (BLHRC) in 2009. Today, BLHRC is Kumaun’s leading multi-speciality hospital, serving 19,000+ patients annually from Kumaun, Garhwal, and even abroad. It is Uttarakhand’s only advanced trauma care center and also operates satellite centers in remote areas.
To meet the demand for skilled professionals, the Pal College of Nursing & Medical Sciences (PCNMS) was launched in 2011, offering six UG & PG nursing programs under the Brijlal Memorial Charitable Samiti since 2016.

Dr. Ashok Pal Ji, Chairman of Pal Group of Institutions (PGI), is a visionary educationist and healthcare leader. An engineer by profession, he founded multiple institutions — from Nursing and Pharmaceutical Sciences to Ayurvedic and Paramedical Colleges — providing affordable education to over 1,000 students in Kumaon. Passionate about holistic development and preventive health, he inspires his team with optimism, risk-taking spirit, and a drive for excellence.
